To give some updates, Mike and I are both back to work. I went back August 29 and Mike went back September 1. Rhylan moved into his own room into the crib around this time as well and (knock on wood) has been a great sleeper for us. Yeah - we have those middle of the night wake up calls when he's rolled over onto his belly, but I roll him back over, give him his binky and he's out like a light (well - until between 4&5 when he wants to get up to eat). Ella on the other hand decided to change her sleeping habit when we went back to work. We're not sure if it's separation anxiety or the fact that she got used to sleeping in the same room with us (like she did when we were on vacation), but now-a-days we have to lay on the floor next to her bed for her to fall asleep initially and then she'll wake up between 12:30 and 2 and want us to sleep next to her again. We're hoping she grows out of this soon because we don't have much time in the day to do much of anything as it is and sleeping on her floor for an hour at bedtime definitely doesn't help! :)
As I mentioned above, Rhylan is able to roll over now. He hasn't figured out the belly to back part, but has no problems rolling from back to belly. His new thing to do now is to blow raspberries and he LOVES to laugh - especially at Ella (he loves his big sister)! We also think he's teething (drools all the time and can't keep things out of his mouth), so perhaps a little tooth will decide to make its debut soon! :) Also, at Rhylan's 4 month appointment, he was 27" and weighed in at 16lbs 13oz! Depending on the brand, he's fitting into clothes between 3-9 months (even some 12 month clothing)!! It's so crazy how big he is!!! :)
As for Ella, her language is expanding daily! We're such great parents too...We taught her how to say "Mets suck!"...So whenever we would say "GO PHILLIES", she would say "Mets suck!". I must admit, it's gotten a little out of control, so we're in the process of changing "suck" to "stink"! It seems to be working, but we'll see come Spring Training! She also picks up on words that we say (that we're not even realizing that we say), so when she says it we're like "who taught her that?!" only to find out that it was probably us all along! So we're trying to watch what we say more closely now! But she definitely does amaze us at how quickly she learns things! At her 2 year appointment, she weighed 30lbs and was 2'10" (34")!!
Well, I guess I'll quit boring you now and show you some pictures from the past few months! Enjoy!!!
