Hello everyone! I FINALLY freed up some space on my hard drive (it was full from all of the pictures and videos I download) and was able to download all of the pictures we've taken since the end of March.
As an update, Ella had her 6 month doctor appointment at the beginning of the month. She weighed 15lbs (25%), was 26-3/4" long (85%) and her head circumference was 17" (75%). The doctor said she looked great although we just have to watch her eye (she still has a blocked tear duct). Hopefully it clears up by the time she turns 1 or else we'll have to go see an eye doctor about it...She got her 6 month shots and did really good again with them!
Earlier in the month she started sitting up on her own a lot more and longer and had been practicing her crawling, although she was moving backwards a lot. Last weekend (17th/18th) she was able to sit herself up and even decided to do so in her crib, so Mike had to lower her mattress down. Then yesterday, Saturday, April 24 Ella decided to actually start crawling forward (video and pictures below)!!! Very exciting yet scary at the same time because that means we really need to start child proofing the house! Then tonight I had her in her crib before giving her a bath and when I walked in the room, she had her hands on the edge of the crib looking over. I then realized she was on her knees standing up to look over the edge. Well then while finding this funny, she decided she was going to go a little bit further and stand up on her feet. So yes, within a 36-hour period, she started to crawl and then stand up on her feet. Guess we'll have to bring her walker down so she can practice walking! LoL.
Other then that, things are going good. Mike's almost done with baseball (mid-May) and we have Ella's Christening on May 30. Then Mike will be off for the summer and we'll be heading down to FL and NC in July and August! My how time is flying by!!!
Well, we hope you enjoy the pictures and videos and we hope to see you soon!!!
Love Always,
Vickie, Mike and Ella
